25 Questions for a Jewish Mother

Actress/comedienne Judy Gold and award-winning playwright Kate Moira Ryan embarked on a five-year journey across the United States, interviewing Jewish mothers of different ages, ethnicities, and occupations and asking each of them 25 questions. Gold weaves their alternately hilarious and emotional stories with her own experiences as a mother, daughter, and Emmy Award-winning writer. The result is a moving and humorous performance that everyone and their mothers will love..

The Immigrant
A young Jewish immigrant flees Russia in 1909 and pushes his banana cart into the tiny Baptist community of Hamilton, Texas. Based on a true story, this musical examines the relationship between parents and children, newcomers and natives, Christians and Jews and the realization of the American Dream.

The Model Apartment
When Max and Lola, two Holocaust survivors from Brooklyn, uproot their lives to Florida, they find their new condo unfinished and are forced to spend the night in a "model apartment" where things are not always as they seem.  In this brilliant and bizarre Drama Desk-nominated black comedy, Max and Lola soon realize that if they ever want to truly escape they must first confront the demons of their past.

Throughout the season the Harold Green Jewish Theatre Company welcomes three of the best musical theatre talents in the country to our intimate Greenwin Theatre. Enjoy the talent of Gabi Epstein, Sterling Jarvis and HGJTC's own Avery Saltzman as they sing songs, tell stories and reflect on their connection to Judaism and their love of music.
