Thank you for your generosity to the Harold Green Jewish Theatre Company. Because of you, we have quickly grown into the leading professional Jewish theatre company in Canada.

Storytelling has always played an integral part of our culture. It is our responsibility and privilege to share the important stories of our history, beliefs, struggles and triumphs.

During this holiday season, your contribution can make a tremendous difference in helping us to maintain our high quality of theatre and keep our storytelling culture alive.

Please donate before December 31, 2009, to receive a tax receipt.

Here are the three areas that will benefit most from your support:

1. Ticket sales cover only half of our operational costs. Not-for-profit theatre depends on many partners, and donors like you to help us to continue staging outstanding productions.
2. Education and outreach is necessary for us to continue our work with the next generation. Our youth is our future. Funds used to defray ticket costs have enabled us to offer greatly reduced tickets in the past; more than 1,800 students saw Kindertransport for only $15.00 per ticket. True costs would have been closer to $95.00.
3. In the Beginning: A Jewish Playwrights’ Festival is an exciting new program this year. This four-day theatrical event will present new Jewish-Canadian plays. Your donation will go directly towards supporting the Jewish artists involved in this unique, cultural event.

The magnificent performance of the legendary Theodore Bikel in Laughter Through Tears, a touching snapshot of the life and stories of Sholom Aleichem, was made possible with your support.
